Looking at the Stars...

This is the second card I attempted with this stamp set, and I don't know why, but I really struggled.  I kept making boo boo's on it.   Had the same problem last night when I made the first card.  Decided this was as good as it is going to get, so I quit.  lol...  I colored the animals with Promarkers and Prismacolor pencils.  The stars are in gold embossing powder, and I used a brush to brush on pigment ink for the grass and sky.
I guess sometimes the mojo just ins't right!  But at least I finished it!  :)
Ever have those days?

Stick It Down card

I made a card using the sketch from Stick It Down Challenges, and I really enjoyed making this card.  The sketch was so helpful, and I was so happy to have made a card so different from ones I have made before.  I made the background paper using water based markers.  I scribbled two marker colors onto a laminated sheet, and then spritzed it with water and let the paper soak up the color.  Then I splattered it with some glitter nail polish and blue paint.  Then I sprinkled some embossing powder to make the white and gold spots, Frantage Shabby White embossing powder.  Then I used a Tim Holtz stamp set to make the sentiment and attached the dies. I love this sketch!  I was inspired by the colors in the Addicted to Stamps challenge; the pretty blues and silvers.

Kitty Cat Birthday Card...

Today was a rainy one, so I took advantage of the quiet time to make a shaped card.  This is a kitty cat birthday card, and I used the Cricut cardridge Wild Card to cut it from, using the image Doily.

My attempt at a shaped card...

O.k., this is my attempt at a shaped card.  I think I missed the mark a bit, but I tried.  :)  I had cut three of the edges with a die trying to make a card with lacy edges, and it did not cut well at all!  So I cut off two of the sides and just made the best of it.  I may try to make another one at a later date.  I wanted to make one with my cricut, but can't run it in the evening as hubby has to go to bed early for work, and I don't want to wake him.  Maybe I'll try one on another day.
The image is from Sliekje's Digi Stamps, and the sentiment on the tag is from a set from Simon Says Stamp.  The "hi" sentiment is a clear sticker.
