Kitty Scrap Album...

Making this album out of things I already have.  The pages themselves came from a 31 booklet that was given to me.  I covered the pages with scrap paper and used my cricut to make the tabs.  Made the outer cover out of poster board and a cat calendar from 2008.
Put black metal eyelets in the holes and covered the metal rings with ribbon.    Used washi tape on the corners of the cover.

Finally using my cricut for something; making tabs!

This is the back cover; also from the same cat calendar.
In the darker pic, you can tell that the pages have a heavier canvas-type quality.  They are much heavier than the thinner style calendar pages.  The calendar was a gift from a friend.  It has several images I'd like to frame.

I have more pages made, but had to pull some out, as it made it too thick.  Will save them for the next scrappy book.

  1. First of all, I'm a cat lover. Second, I think it's great of you to try something new. I've never made an album myself, at least not yet. Third, what a great project for using scraps and what's in your stash. Well done!!

  3. Wowzers, when you say you're going to do something, you work fast! I love this! What gorgeous cat pictures and I also could see some of your kitties on the inside. This is an awesome project! Hanging my head in shame, I've been saying I'm going to make a kitty album for years and just haven't done it yet. This is great inspiration - thank you!

  4. Oh no, I've been working on it for several weeks. I can only do a bit at a time. Thank you for the sweet compliments! I had the album made, but just started adding pics. Oh no, you make beautiful cards and creations! No need for shame! lol... It's all good! Didn't you even put some of your kittie's pics on cards? I thought that was awesome! Looking forward to seeing your cards and what you make! Thanks again!

  5. I scrolled back to see this post again. I really, really love your kitty scrapbook! And I just noticed your reply above. Thank you! I didn't see it before. I don't receive these replies, only if you reply to the emailed comment, not reply from your blog. So glad I popped back. I'm bookmarking your blog with these scrapbook pages so I can refer to it when I get ready to start my kitty scrapbook. I think it would be so fun to look at. I have a photo album devoted to my first kitty, who passed over 10 years ago (sadly I'm still not over the loss), and every so often ,I get out the album and look at his pictures (of course I always end up crying LOL). It's just an album full of photos, not a scrapbook. I think a scrapbook is so much nicer. Please keep up with what your doing, and share the pages, because I think it is lovely.

  6. Hi there! Your album is just so cute. And colorful. I really like it. You've done such an awesome job with it. We certainly love kitties too. But we do have a rescue dog. And such a big sweetie. Our cat of 14 years will not adjust to the dog and prefers to sleep in the garage. We fixed a nice place for him and he seems to love it.
Love your sweet kitty pics, Thanks for coming to visit my blog and becoming a follower. Have a great day. ♥Mary
